The Center Account Manager (CAM) will be responsible for achieving and maximizing territory sales goals by developing a strategic business plan, communicating thorough disease and product knowledge to healthcare professional customers (HCPs), and utilizing effective and appropriate selling strategies.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Promote safe and effective use of Vertex products per label, training, and company policies
- Provide relevant disease state and on-label product information
- Interact with Cystic Fibrosis stakeholders in assigned geography
- Own individual territory performance and contribute to area/national team performance
- Demonstrate passion for improving Cystic Fibrosis patient care; strong customer orientation and insight
- Allocate resources appropriately and targeted to meet customer needs with a compliance focus
- Stay current on the Cystic Fibrosis environment (disease, key accounts, reimbursement, barriers to care)
- Manage tactical business plan, including customer promotional activities; budget and travel expenses
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet goals and address challenges
- Attend meetings and take on projects/duties as requested by management
- Exercise sound judgment and adhere to regulatory/compliance guidelines and company policies
Knowledge And Skills
- Valid driverโs license (in good standing)
- Ability to travel up to 50% (evenings/weekends as needed)
- Ability to understand and communicate complex clinical disease/products; consultative/clinical sales approach
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to excel in an innovative environment; initiative and strong work ethic
- Team-based, cross-functional collaboration; continuous learning

Education And Experience
- Bachelorโs degree
- Typically requires 5 years of field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry and experience in Cystic Fibrosis, rare disease, or other biotech/specialty markets (or equivalent education/experience)
