Cell Therapy Account Specialist, Overlay (Contractor)
Role Overview:
The Cell Therapy Account Specialist represents Legend’s products and services to a defined customer base, generates and grows sales, and consistently achieves or exceeds sales targets within a specific geographic area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner to drive Carvykti as the preferred CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma among community and institution-based oncology customers; coordinate impactful engagement in the territory.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Legend and competitor products and disease-state complexities.
- Navigate complex accounts, understand stakeholder needs/issues, and triage to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Provide timely feedback to cross-functional teams based on interactions with HCPs, including account business trends and therapeutic landscape changes.
- Develop and implement account business plans to meet customer needs and corporate goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams; may co-promote with outside partners.
- Identify/resolution of issues and opportunities; proactively communicate to marketing and sales management; manage territory budget for engagements and external expenditures.
- Represent Legend at national and/or local symposiums/conventions.
- Complete required administrative tasks (call reporting, expenses, etc.).
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety and other internal departments per guidelines.
- Promote appropriate product use to HCPs per Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Preferred 3 years of oncology/specialty healthcare sales experience.
- Track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Experience managing large community accounts (strategic planning/problem solving).
- Sales experience in cell therapy/bone marrow transplant (plus).
- Previous product launch experience (plus).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; strong selling, relationship-building, and influencing abilities.
- Aptitude for rapid learning of technical/scientific information; self-motivated and autonomous.
- Teamwork/collaboration; ability to anticipate and adjust to problems.
- Valid driver’s license; multi-tasking agility.
- Travel up to 50–60%.
- Exceptional organizational/time management; accurate on-time administrative work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
