Role Overview
The Cell Therapy Account Specialist represents Legend’s products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales and achieving or exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner to drive Carvykti as the preferred CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma among community and institution-based oncology customers; coordinate territory engagement with other Carvykti representatives.
- Understand Legend and competitor products, and complexities of the disease state.
- Navigate complex accounts, understand stakeholder needs, and triage to internal stakeholders for support.
- Identify issues and opportunities unique to each geography.
- Provide timely insights to cross-functional teams based on HCP interactions (account trends and therapeutic landscape changes).
- Develop and implement an account business plan to meet customer needs and corporate goals.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects and may co-promote with outside partner companies.
- Identify/resolution of issues and opportunities; communicate proactively to marketing and sales management; manage territory budget for external expenditures.
- Represent Legend at national/local symposiums/conventions.
- Complete administrative tasks (call reporting, customer info, expenses).
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety per guidelines.
- Promote appropriate product use in accordance with Corporate/PhRMA/OIG guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (accredited college/university).
- Preferred: 3 years oncology/specialty healthcare sales.
- Proven track record meeting/exceeding sales objectives (specialty markets preferred).
- Experience managing large community accounts; strategic planning and problem solving.
- Plus: cell therapy/bone marrow transplant sales experience; product launch experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written/presentation); selling skills; relationship building/influencing.
- Ability to learn/retain technical/scientific information; self-motivated with autonomy; teamwork/collaboration.
- Valid driver’s license; multitasking.
- Travel: up to 50–60%.
- Strong organizational/time management; accurate, timely administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
