Role Overview
The Cell Therapy Account Specialist represents Legend’s products and services to a defined customer base, generating and growing sales and achieving/exceeding sales targets within a specific geographic area.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner to drive Carvykti as the preferred CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma among community and institution-based oncology customers; coordinate activities with other Carvykti representatives.
- Develop comprehensive understanding of Legend and competitor products and in-depth knowledge of disease-state complexities.
- Navigate complex accounts; understand stakeholder needs/issues and triage to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Identify issues and opportunities unique to each geography.
- Provide timely insights from interactions with healthcare professionals (HCPs), including account trends and potential therapeutic landscape changes.
- Use intelligence/insights to develop and implement an account business plan.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects related to accounts/physicians; may co-promote with outside partner companies.
- Assist in identification/resolution of issues and opportunities; proactively communicate with marketing/sales management; manage territory budget for engagements, speaker events, and external expenditures.
- Represent Legend at national and/or local symposiums/conventions.
- Perform administrative functions (call activity/customer info reporting, expenses, etc.).
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety and other internal departments per guidelines.
- Promote appropriate product use to HCPs in accordance with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines; maintain strict compliance with regulatory agencies, state and federal law.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Preferred: 3 years of Oncology/specialty healthcare sales experience.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably specialty markets).
- Experience managing/executing within large community accounts (strategic planning, problem solving).
- Previous cell therapy/bone marrow transplant sales experience (plus).
- Previous product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written/presentation).
- Strong selling skills, relationship-building, and influencing.
- Ability to rapidly learn/retain technical and scientific product information.
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously; strong collaboration/teamwork.
- Ability to anticipate/adjust for problems and roadblocks.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Agility in multi-tasking; travel 50–60%.
- Strong organizational/time management; accurate, timely administrative execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
