Cell Therapy Account Specialist, Overlay (Contractor)
Role Overview:
Represent Legend’s products and services to a defined customer base, generate and grow sales, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets within a specific geographic area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Carvykti as the preferred CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma among community and institution-based oncology customers; collaborate with other representatives to coordinate territory activities.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of Legend and competitor products and the complexities of the disease state.
- Navigate complex account environments, understand stakeholder needs/issues at all levels, and triage to appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Identify issues and opportunities unique to each geography.
- Provide timely cross-functional insights from interactions with HCPs, including account business trends and potential therapeutic landscape changes.
- Use market intel to develop and implement an account business plan to meet customer needs and corporate goals.
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects tied to accounts/physicians; may co-promote with outside partners.
- Identify/resolution issues and opportunities; proactively communicate with marketing and sales management; manage a territory budget for customer engagements and speaker events.
- Represent Legend at national and/or local symposiums/conventions.
- Complete required administrative tasks (call reporting, customer information, expenses).
- Report adverse events to Drug Safety and other internal departments per guidelines.
- Promote appropriate product use in line with Corporate, PhRMA, and OIG guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and legal requirements; adhere to company policies and ethics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
- Preferred: 3 years of Oncology/specialty healthcare sales experience.
- Proven, consistent track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives (preferably in specialty markets).
- Experience managing and executing in large community accounts (strategic planning and problem solving).
- Plus: cell therapy/bone marrow transplant sales experience.
- Plus: product launch experience in a highly competitive environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and presentation).
- Proven relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Ability to rapidly learn and retain technical/scientific product information.
- Self-motivated with autonomy; sets high goals.
- Demonstrated teamwork/collaboration.
- Ability to read situations quickly and adjust for roadblocks.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Agility in multi-tasking.
- Travel up to 50–60%.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; accurate, timely administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
