Role Summary
CDnA - Global Forecasting and Analytics Senior Manager, Obesity
Responsibilities
Advanced Forecasting Techniques: Build detailed and advanced forecast models (patient, Rx, sales, Rx Based, etc.) projecting units and revenue for Amgen products by indication/regions; use advanced simulation models (e.g., Monte Carlo analysis, statistical trending) to quantify uncertainty; leverage diverse pharmaceutical data sources to improve forecasting approaches and methodologies.
Market Analysis and Competitor Intelligence: Analyze competitors and market dynamics to inform forecasting models and strategic decisions; develop an objective brand strategy by integrating insights across multiple functions and capability areas.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key point of contact for global brand leads, engaging them in forecasting deliverables; facilitate discussions and build consensus among stakeholders to establish worldwide sales expectations for pipeline assets.
Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Support leadership in identifying actionable strategies to improve commercial potential, prioritizing risks and opportunities; provide informed recommendations on product development continuation or discontinuation based on market conditions, financial projections, and strategic goals.
Communication and Presentation: Develop and deliver clear presentations that articulate key variables in the forecast for decision-makers; apply communication and interpersonal skills to influence leadership on recommended courses of action.
Collaboration with CDnA: Collaborate with the broader CDnA organization to integrate comprehensive insights and analytics knowledge into forecast development; improve the depth and accuracy of forecasts by using a broad spectrum of insights across the organization.
Process Optimization: Drive productivity and efficiency by streamlining forecasting and analytics processes where possible.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
Or Master’s degree and 4 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
Or Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
Or Associate's degree and 10 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics and/or forecasting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Forecasting experience in the biopharma industry
Experience with advanced spreadsheets, patient-based forecast modeling including dynamic patient models
Working knowledge of forecasting inputs and structure, global access and reimbursement policies, and competitive environment and potential impact on product development and commercialization strategy
Ability to interpret and analyze data trends, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions
Knowledge and experience working with industry internal and secondary data sources; experience doing analog and uptake curve analysis
Strong oral, written and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts, data, and insights clearly to a variety of audiences including senior leadership teams
Strong project management skills—able to organize and complete multiple projects efficiently and on time
Ability to quickly establish credibility with and influence senior level staff
Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment
High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
