Data Scientist, Obesity - Senior Associate (Commercial Data & Analytics)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical and data science solutions to support commercial decision-making (forecasting inputs, patient/market segmentation, performance analytics)
- Apply statistical and machine-learning techniques to large, complex commercial datasets
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model validation
- Interpret results with commercial context and data limitations
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze enterprise data
- Work with cloud-based analytics environments and curated data assets
- Support repeatable analytics workflows and model deployment processes
- Develop dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau or Spotfire)
- Translate business questions into analytical approaches; communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Support commercial reviews, planning activities, and ad-hoc analyses; collaborate within CD&A
- Manage multiple analytical priorities; apply structured problem-solving; follow data governance/compliance/documentation standards
Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree OR
- Bachelor’s degree + 2 years relevant experience OR
- Associate’s degree + 6 years relevant experience OR
- High school diploma/GED + 8 years relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
- Proficiency in Python and/or R; strong SQL and relational databases
- Tableau/Spotfire (or similar); cloud analytics platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS)
- Statistical modeling and machine-learning concepts; synthesize complex analyses into business insights
- Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare/commercial analytics; strong collaboration and communication
Work Location
- 3 days/week on-site
