Role Summary
Category Buyer R&D and Analytical Service within External Manufacturing Procurement. Location: Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ. Responsible for the selection of high-quality CDMOs for R&D aligned with the commercial manufacturing strategy, using fact-based negotiations and performance-based contracting to safeguard the companyβs interests and drive value across the supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies ensuring global participation, alignment, and adoption.
- Market Analysis, Spend Analysis, RFI/RFP/RFQ, Supplier Evaluation, Contract Negotiation, Risk Management, Compliance.
- Drive the negotiations with suppliers under his/her perimeter.
- Align with Finance and the Business to capture and monitor external budget spends and savings.
- Assemble successful cross functional teams to develop cost modeling and analytics, evaluate total cost, total savings potential, sourcing options, regulatory/legal/quality impact, and production/operation impact of sourcing opportunities.
- Drive and manage change and process efficiencies.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years in Procurement preferably Pharmaceutical Industry
- Cost Modeling/Total Cost of Ownership
- Fill finish and label and packaging
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Life sciences required
- Master's Degree Business Administration or Life Sciences preferred
