Your job, as category Buyer R&D and analytical service within External Manufacturing Procurement, is to ensure the selection of high-quality CDMOs for R&D in alignment with our commercial manufacturing strategy. Your fact-based negotiations and performance-based contracting will safeguard our company’s interests while driving value across the entire supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies ensuring global participation, alignment, and adoption.
• Market Analysis, Spend Analysis, RFI/RFP/RFQ, Supplier Evaluation, Contract Negotiation, Risk Management, Compliance.
• Drive the negotiations with suppliers under his/her perimeter.
• Align with Finance and the Business to capture and monitor external budget spends and savings.
• Assemble successful cross functional teams to develop cost modeling and analytics, evaluate total cost, total savings potential, sourcing options, regulatory/legal/quality impact, and production/operation impact of sourcing opportunities.
• Drive and manage change and process efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Required: 5-7 years in Procurement preferably Pharmaceutical Industry
• Required: Cost Modeling/Total Cost of Ownership
• Required: Fill finish and label and packaging

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Life sciences required
• Master's Degree Business Administration or Life Sciences preferred.
