Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the case management process for Tzield patients, balancing individual needs with business objectives.
- Conduct insurance verifications for Tzield patients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact from enrollment through treatment completion.
- Engage patients/families to identify needs, challenges, and provide education and support to start Tzield therapy.
- Assess insurance coverage options/requirements; identify resource plans and advocate to ensure successful treatment initiation.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers on coverage and steps to gain product and administration approval.
- Maintain knowledge of reimbursement, billing/coding guidelines, payer trends, healthcare navigation, and internal/external patient assistance programs.
- Enroll eligible patients into appropriate financial assistance programs.
- Maintain knowledge of regional resources and market landscape to support patient access.
- Coordinate compliant exchange of patient information with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide cross-functional leadership by identifying complex patient issues and developing action plans.
- Document interactions with attention to data integrity.
- Provide caseload coverage outside assigned territory as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Sanofi policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree required (any field).
- Prefer at least 6 months of experience in pharma, healthcare, insurance, or related fields.
- Prefer experience in case management, patient services, insurance verification, specialty pharmacy roles, or similar.
- In-depth understanding of health insurance benefits.
- Excellent written/oral communication and problem-solving; ability to connect with patients and caregivers.
- Demonstrated success working in a complex matrix environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills (flexibility, persistence, creativity, empathy, trust).
- Ability to handle sensitive issues independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to travel within the US up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce CRM experience.
- Insurance verification experience.
- Direct experience in case management, reimbursement, insurance, or healthcare systems.
- Pharma/biotech patient services and specialty product experience.
- Experience coordinating complex medical payer policy requirements and prior authorizations.
