Key Responsibilities:
- Pinpoint mutual priorities and use account insights to develop a strategic territory business plan to enhance product demand and achieve exceptional outcomes for key partners and their patients.
- Lead clinical discussions, motivate customer advocacy for patients, and engage the full account team to identify barriers and provide solutions.
- Use knowledge of the market, competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
- Conduct planning meetings with key stakeholders to address complex customer issues and collaborate across departments to meet customer requirements.
- Analyze market data and territory trends to understand the local landscape, drive engagement, and lead both virtual and in-person customer interactions.
- Apply omni-channel and multi-channel strategies to maximize personalized Novartis engagement capabilities in person and virtually.
- Collaborate with regional colleagues, other field staff, and home-office teams to meet customer needs and provide access support.
- Provide timely access assistance and work with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) associates to address customer requirements.

Essential Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals/biotech or a comparable sales role within the last 5 years.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment; proficient communication of clinical product details; consistent high performance; success selling to large accounts and key customer segments.
- Strong analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and use relevant data to solve problems and satisfy key customers; ethical leadership and compliance with company policies and laws.
- Live within the territory or within 50 miles of the territory border; travel 60–80% across geography; ability to drive and/or fly within the territory; valid driver’s license.

Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Broad understanding of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs.

Role Levels (experience):
- Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years (specialty pharmaceuticals/biotech or comparable sales).
- Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years.
- Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years.

Additional Role Requirements:
- Driving is an essential function; fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
- Complete required initial training for field roles with a dedicated training period (home study; ≤8 hours/day and ≤40 hours/week).
