Cardiovascular Territory Account Specialist – Springfield MO

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify mutual priorities and use insights/strategies across each account to build a strategic territory business plan that enhances product demand by meeting partner and patient needs and delivering exceptional outcomes.
- Lead clinical discussions that motivate customers to advocate for patients; coordinate the full account team to identify barriers and provide appropriate solutions.
- Apply market/competitive knowledge, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
- Conduct planning meetings with key stakeholders to address complex customer issues and collaborate across departments to meet customer requirements.
- Analyze market data and territory trends to understand the local landscape, drive engagement, and lead virtual and in-person customer interactions.
- Use omni-channel and multi-channel strategies and systems to maximize Novartis capabilities for personalized customer engagement (in person or virtually).
- Collaborate with regional colleagues, other field staff, and home-office teams to meet customer needs and deliver appropriate access support.
- Provide timely access assistance and partner with Patient Specialty Services (PSS) associates to address customer needs efficiently.
Essential Requirements / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a similar-complexity sales role within the last 5 years.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment; communicate clinical product details; maintain consistent high performance; and successfully sell to large accounts/key customer segments.
- Strong analytical skills to identify/prioritize/use relevant data to solve problems and satisfy key customers; ethical leadership and commitment to compliance.
- Must reside within the territory or within 50 miles of the territory border; travel 60–80% across the geography; able to drive and/or fly within the territory; valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches.
- Knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, and/or medical calling on HCPs related to a sophisticated product/reimbursement pathway.
Territory/Leveling Experience:
- Territory Account Specialist: 2+ years (within last 5 years).
- Senior Territory Account Specialist: 5+ years (within last 5 years).
- Executive Territory Account Specialist: 10+ years (within last 5 years).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Performance-based cash incentive; and eligibility for annual equity awards depending on role level.

- Expected salary ranges: Territory Account Specialist $93,800–$174,200; Senior $114,100–$211,900; Executive $126,000–$234,000.
