Role Summary
Cardiovascular Territory Account Specialist – Hollywood, FL. This is a field-based and remote opportunity supporting key accounts in an assigned geography. The role requires travel within a broad geography and the ability to drive or fly as needed; relocation and visa sponsorship are not provided.
Responsibilities
- Pinpoint mutual priorities and formulate a strategic territory business plan across the account to enhance product demand by addressing the needs of key partners and their patients, aiming for exceptional outcomes.
- Encourage clinical discussions that motivate customers to advocate for their patients and involve the entire account team to identify barriers and offer solutions.
- Utilize market expertise, knowledge of competitors, industry trends, and cross-functional strategies to anticipate and manage opportunities and challenges.
- Conduct planning meetings with key stakeholders to tackle complex customer issues and collaborate across departments to fulfill customer requirements.
- Analyze market data and territory trends to understand the local business landscape, promote engagement, and lead virtual and live customer interactions.
- Use omni-channel or multi-channel strategies to maximize Novartis capabilities for personalized engagement with customers, in person or virtually.
- Collaborate with regional colleagues, other field staff, and home-office teams to proactively meet customer needs and deliver access support.
- Provide timely access assistance and work with Patient Specialty Services associates to address customer requirements efficiently.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years’ experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, biotech, or a sales role of similar complexity within the last 5 years.
- Required: Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions in a matrix environment, proficiently communicate clinical product details, maintain a track record of high performance, and navigate selling to large accounts and key customer segments.
- Required: Proactive with strong analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and use relevant data to solve problems; ethical leadership and compliance with company policies and laws.
- Required: Residence within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 50 miles from the territory border; ability to travel 60-80% across a broad geography; valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Experience across therapeutic groups, disease states, account management strategy, and new product launches; knowledge of patient services, market access, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, or medical calling on HCPs for sophisticated products or reimbursement pathways.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
