Role Summary

The Cardiology Health & Science Professional (HSP) increases territory sales and builds relationships with assigned customers by engaging in product promotion and strategic account management. The role requires customer, market, and business acumen, analytical skills, and strong product and disease-state knowledge. The HSP drives sales and promotional activities, engages customers in-person and virtually, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver Pfizer objectives while leveraging digital tools and remote-work capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drives sales in assigned territory.
  • Engages with customers both face to face and virtually.
  • Develops and implements effective business and territory call plans; identifies and implements live/virtual engagement strategies to maximize impact.
  • Builds rapport and relationships with customers in live and virtual environments; uses digital tools effectively for engagement.
  • Uses internal reports and analytics to identify and implement strategic business opportunities.
  • Educates providers on unbranded and branded product value propositions using disease-state information and patient resources, where applicable.
  • Collaborates across the organization to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives.
  • Completes administrative tasks on time and compliantly.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following; OR an associate’s degree with 6+ years of experience; OR high school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Required: Professional Sales or Promotional Activity.
  • Required: Small Business Owner or other Entrepreneurial experience, Marketing, Customer Service and/or Account Management.
  • Required: Relevant Healthcare/Scientific roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT, etc.).
  • Required: Educator (e.g., Teacher, Principal).
  • Required: Full Time Military experience.
  • Required: Must live within 25 miles of the border of the territory.
  • Required: Valid US driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards. Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.
  • Preferred: 1 year of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical sales and/or medical related marketing.
  • Preferred: Strong track record of sales or marketing success, territory management, communications, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Preferred: Experience with applicable disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of posted territory customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
  • Preferred: Reside within the territory boundaries.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within territory.
  • Depending on territory size and business need, overnight stays may be required.
  • Geography includes: Wilmington, New Bern, Jacksonville, and Kinston, North Carolina.
  • Work Location Assignment: Remote - Field Based.
