The Position: Experienced cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) within Medical Affairs. Field-based; candidate must be located within one of the territories.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with cardiologists/endocrinologists/healthcare professionals/stakeholders to educate on clinical and scientific evidence.
- Educate on RNAi technology, hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, and hypercholesterolemia.
- Synthesize and communicate clinical/scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
- Attend and present at scientific congresses and meetings.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries per MSL compliance standards.
- Support company-sponsored clinical trials via investigator site engagement.
- Support speaker training and ensure speaker readiness with evolving data.
- Support national/regional/local congresses (OL engagement, session coverage, booth, debriefs).
- Monitor and analyze scientific publications, clinical trials, and competitive landscape.
- Maintain clinical/scientific expertise and industry business acumen.
- Advance MSL value proposition; act with tact/professionalism.
- Act in accordance with company policies.
- Develop territory-specific Opinion Leader (OL) and account plans.
- Communicate clinical/scientific information accurately and clearly.
- Document MSL quantitative and qualitative accomplishments.
- Provide scientific support for Med Info inquiries.
- Develop scientific content for medical education initiatives.
- Support Medical Affairs special projects as needed.
- Manage cross-functional relationships.
Requirements:
- PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO required.
- 5 years of experience as an MSL.
- Cardiometabolic therapeutic experience.
- Industry Medical Affairs experience at a biotech or pharma.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
- Strong comprehension of the cardiometabolic therapeutic area.
- Ability to interpret key scientific data and translate for educational/research needs.
- Ability to identify unmet medical/educational/research needs locally/regionally.
- Understanding of healthcare delivery and managed care impact.
- Understanding of research study design/execution and strategic implications.
- Proven ability to drive high-quality results.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Strong project management and time management/organizational skills.
- Ability to travel.
Pay Range: $190,000 USD - $210,000 USD
