The Position
We are seeking an experienced cardiometabolic Medical Science Liaison (MSL) (field-based).
Responsibilities:
- Engage cardiologists/endocrinologists/healthcare professionals/stakeholders with scientific exchange to educate on clinical and scientific evidence and advance the treatment landscape.
- Educate on RNAi technology, hypertriglyceridemia, familial chylomicronemia syndrome, and hypercholesterolemia.
- Synthesize and communicate clinical and scientific insights to internal stakeholders.
- Attend and present at scientific congresses and meetings.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with MSL compliance standards.
- Support company-sponsored clinical trials through investigator site engagement.
- Support speaker training and ensure speakers are up to date on evolving disease and product data.
- Support national/regional/local scientific congresses, including Opinion Leader (OL) engagement and related coverage.
- Monitor and analyze scientific publications, clinical trials, and the competitive landscape.
- Maintain clinical/scientific expertise and industry business acumen.
- Advance the MSL value proposition and document MSL accomplishments.
- Provide scientific support for Med Info inquiries.
- Develop scientific content for medical education initiatives.
- Support Medical Affairs with special projects and initiatives.
- Act in accordance with company policies.
Requirements:
- PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO required.
- 5 years of experience as an MSL.
- Cardiometabolic therapeutic experience; industry Medical Affairs experience in biotech/pharma.
- High verbal and written communication; strong collaboration.
- Ability to interpret scientific data and translate into educational/research needs.
- Ability to identify unmet medical/educational/research needs locally/regionally.
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery (managed care impacts), and research study design/execution.
- Strategic/creative results orientation; thrive in ambiguity.
- Strong project/time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel.
Pay Range: $190,000 USD - $210,000 USD.
