Role Summary

Cardiometabolic Care Specialist I - Toledo, OH. Responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to effectively sell and promote Novo Nordisk's portfolio of cardiometabolic products to healthcare professionals and office staff. Supports cross-functional collaboration and builds relationships to advance patient care in the local market.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates competencies on a consistent basis with territory level impact
  • Understands local payer market designs and the impact on customer decisions
  • Identifies business opportunities by understanding territory customer groups and affiliations
  • Analyzes bidding policies/contracts to influence formulary status, where applicable
  • Assesses managed care impact on prescribing decisions and adjusts sales strategies
  • Develops relationships with specialists, hospital decision-makers, and other influencers
  • Researches and tailors account plans based on stakeholders and business practices
  • Uses territory market insights to develop and execute business plans
  • Gains access and builds relationships with prescribers, support staff, pharmacies, and clinics
  • Maintains professionalism and customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborates across functions to share knowledge and opportunities
  • Implements Novo Nordisk Edge Selling Model with external customers and at company-sponsored meetings

    • Understands disease states and treatment options, including product knowledge
    • Engages customers with fair balance on treatment placement
    • Participates in sales and marketing meetings, training, and events

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs or equivalent degree, and/or Pharm D required
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in Pharmaceutical/Healthcare, Sales, Consulting, Customer Service or Military (preferred)
  • Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); experience with sales data/call reporting software is ideal
  • Self-starter with ability to evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Aptitude for leadership and decision-making
  • Solid understanding of current therapy areas (diabetes and obesity) and Novo Nordisk products; ability to communicate technical information
