Role Summary

Cardiometabolic Care Specialist - Card Neph - Irvine, California. Responsible for consistently achieving goals and maximizing sales by executing local sales and marketing strategies to promote Novo Nordisk products to healthcare professionals and key customers. Build and maintain relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare personnel; coordinate resources to support patient care and clinical initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates at a high level by sharing key customer insights/trends with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Leads team/partner initiatives to consistently drive results based on understanding of HCP influence across total geography
  • Identifies and leverages key customer insights to remain ahead of market trends and developments
  • Consistently seeks wins and drives successful outcomes
  • Recognizes opportunities to challenge and influence target physicians’ patient management approaches and adds value by sharing new information and insights
  • Leverages understanding of the targeted physician customer base to maximize performance
  • Applies business acumen and analytical skills to advance the business and drive results
  • Exhibits product and disease state fluency
  • Adapts to business priorities and prioritizes between account engagement and results
  • Develops and employs business and tailored account plans and utilizes tools to address patient needs and meet sales goals
  • Thinks broadly across stakeholders while executing against opportunities to drive performance
  • Coordinates with other representatives to leverage provider relationships across Endo and PCP segments
  • Executes sales strategies based on customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitors
  • Maintains activity records and timely call data transmission
  • Understands scientific and clinical underpinnings of brand strategies and builds advocacy
  • Demonstrates professionalism and a customer-focused approach with internal and external stakeholders
  • Implements the Novo Nordisk Way selling model with external customers and during company-sponsored meetings
  • Manages samples and company property in accordance with policies
  • Manages territory budget and promotional program budget to support sales goals
  • Engages HCPs in constructive dialogue to support improved patient health
  • Participates in product and disease state knowledge sharing during meetings, trainings, and events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or Pharm D required
  • Minimum of two (2) years pharmaceutical, medical or healthcare experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability
  • Ability to navigate PA’s in rapidly developing market
  • Health Systems and/or Institutional Account experience is preferred
  • Clinical approach to selling and engaging customers
  • Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel); familiarity with sales data/call reporting software
  • Knowledge of gastroenterology and/or hepatology experience is preferred
  • Self-starter with ability to evaluate options and make decisions with minimal supervision
