Job Description:
- Serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for domestic and international flight operations; exercise final authority for safe, compliant, and efficient operation of company aircraft.
- Conduct missions in accordance with FAA regulations, international operating requirements, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Lead assigned flight crews while fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
- Ensure safe management of complex worldwide flight operations and provide a premium travel experience for executives and guests.
- As Captain (Large Cabin):
- Reside within 2.5 hours of San Jose, CA or be willing to relocate.
- Supervise, mentor, and lead flight crew; promote Crew Resource Management (CRM) and positive safety culture.
- Plan/oversee flight preparation: flight planning, aircraft performance analysis, weather evaluation, fuel planning, aircraft readiness, required publications/onboard equipment, customs/immigration/permits and international requirements, airport/runway suitability.
- Ensure flight documentation and crew/passenger travel documentation (passports, visas, entry requirements) are complete and current.
- Maintain safety, security, comfort, and service expectations for passengers.
- Make operational decisions balancing safety, efficiency, and customer service.
- Maintain FAA certificates/type ratings, medical certification, training, and operational currency.
- Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS): hazard identification, safety reporting, continuous improvement.
- Support department projects/assignments; represent the Flight Department with professionalism, integrity, discretion, and customer service.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 8 years OR Master’s + 6 years.
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate required.
- Current type rating in at least one aircraft operated by the company, or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate required.
- 5,000 total flight hours; 3,000 Pilot in Command; 2,000 multi-engine turbine.
- Gulfstream experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Aviation/Business/related field.
- 5+ years corporate aviation; significant international operations; long-range business aircraft experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and CRM skills.
- Experience in BASC/IS-BAO and SMS environment; strong decision-making and risk management.
- Excellent communication/customer service; executive passenger support experience.
- Ability to obtain/maintain worldwide travel eligibility (passport/visas).
- Flexible schedule; complete background checks/security clearances/recurrent training.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move baggage/supplies per safety guidelines.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Salary range: $243,100.00–$314,600.00; may be eligible for discretionary bonus and long-term incentives; paid time off; company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
