Role Summary
Calibration Technician to support manufacturing by performing mechanical, electrical, calibration, electronic, or utility related tasks on a Sunday-Wednesday shift. Training will occur Monday-Friday for 3-6 months, after which the schedule is Sunday-Wednesday 2:00pm-12:30am. Premium shifts may include incentive pay.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate various types of instrumentation including temperature, pressure, level, flow and analytical instruments
- Perform loop check, tune, troubleshoot, and start-up of instrumentation
- Work with medium and low voltages
- Perform basic plumbing and tube bending jobs
- Assist Facilities Management-Maintenance and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process-related issues
- Perform daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM) and coordinate workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs
- Communicate and coordinate with departments and Facilities Management when planned and unplanned work events occur
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Occasionally work on other facility-related tasks outside the calibration departmentβs normal duties
- Plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors to perform scheduled and/or non-scheduled PM or general work
- Ensure safe and efficient hands-on maintenance of all plant manufacturing equipment and related support equipment with strict adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, and quality standards
- Participate in compliance investigations when necessary
- Full gowning required when entering and working on production floor
- Participate in rotation on-call schedule
Qualifications
- Willing and able to work a Sunday-Wednesday 2:00pm-12:30am schedule
- Education: ideally an AAS degree, preferably in Engineering or Construction Technologies; minimum related experience for each level as described below
- Calibration Technician II: 2+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 5+ years of related experience
- Calibration Technician III: 5+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience
- Calibration Technician IV: 8+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience
- Prior experience in the maintenance and operation of large-scale utilities plant preferred
- ISA CCST Certification strongly preferred but not required

Additional Requirements
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs
- Full gowning required when on production floor
