Role Summary
Calibration Technician needed to support manufacturing operations on a Sunday-Thursday night shift. Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, calibration, and utility tasks to maintain instrument performance and facility systems. Training is provided Monday–Friday for 3–6 months, with shift hours returning to Sunday–Thursday nights thereafter.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, level, flow, and analytical instruments
- Perform loop checks, tuning, troubleshooting, and start-up of instrumentation
- Work with medium and low voltages
- Perform basic plumbing and tube bending
- Assist Facilities Management-Maintenance and Clean Utility technicians in troubleshooting facilities and process-related issues
- Perform daily Work Orders (WO) and Preventative Maintenance (PM); coordinate workflow and documentation of PMs and WOs
- Communicate and coordinate with departments and within Facilities Management for planned and unplanned work
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Occasionally handle other facility-related tasks outside the calibration department’s normal duties
- May plan and schedule outside contractors/vendors for scheduled or non-scheduled PM or general work
- Ensure safe and efficient hands-on maintenance of plant manufacturing equipment and related support equipment, adhering to SOPs, cGMPs, and quality standards
- Participate in compliance investigations when necessary
- Full gowning required when entering and working on production floor
- Participate in rotation on-call schedule
Qualifications
- Required: Willingness and ability to work a Sunday–Thursday 10:00pm–8:30am schedule
- Applicants ideally should have an AAS degree, preferably in an Engineering or Construction Technologies related area
- Calibration Technician II: 2+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 5+ years of related experience
- Calibration Technician III: 5+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience
- Calibration Technician IV: 8+ years of related experience or HSD/GED with 8+ years of related experience
- Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role
- Prior experience in maintenance and operation of large-scale utilities plant preferred
- ISA CCST Certification strongly preferred but not required
