Buyer II

Role: The Buyer II manages procurement of complex, high-value materials and equipment within a biopharma manufacturing environment, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain operations. Responsibilities include creating purchase orders, tracking orders, negotiating with suppliers, analyzing market trends, managing inventory levels (including cGMP raw materials), and collaborating with internal teams such as Planning and Logistics to support uninterrupted production. The role involves supplier performance management, risk assessments, and supporting quality and change management activities aligned with cGMP standards. Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain, at least 2 years of procurement experience in a complex supply chain, and familiarity with ERP and Quality systems. Preferred skills encompass strong communication, organizational, analytical, and partnership-building capabilities, along with planning experience. High-value biopharma specifics involve working in a regulated environment supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, with emphasis on raw material management, supplier relationship management, and adherence to cGMP requirements. The position is onsite 4x/week at the Lexington, MA office. Salary range is $85,000–$116,000, with eligibility for bonuses and stock incentives.
