Role Summary
The Business Support Specialist for Shockwave Medical will be the first point of contact for people leaders needing help navigating J&Jβs self-service processes and systems, and will provide general administrative support to the business. This role is based in Santa Clara, CA.
Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to open new requisitions and schedule interviews
- Partner with the Recruiting & Onboarding (R&O) and Talent Acquisition (TA) Teams to support onboarding
- Deliver new hire orientation and be a subject matter expert for new hires
- Walk managers through processing promotions, salary changes, reporting changes, terminations or other employee changes
- Act as the key point of contact for time and attendance-related topics for hourly employees (if applicable)
- Collaborate with TA, BUHR, and Managers, to provide an excellent employee experience and encourage positive company morale
- Escalate issues with manager tasks to the appropriate internal resource and ensure resolution
- Proactively identify gaps in existing processes and take the initiative to implement agreed changes
- Enable compliance and participate with audits
- Assist with planning and executing team and company events, including catering coordination
- Work on projects where independent action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent, relevant work experience
- Proven ability to manage concurrent responsibilities, prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment
- Great relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional manner
- High attention to detail
- Great ethics, especially when accessing or handling confidential information
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize and achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with ADP or similar payroll/HRIS desired
- Strong problem solving, data analysis and analytical skills
- Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements
