About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Shockwave Medical, a Johnson & Johnson company. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining data analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making within the organization. You will collaborate closely with sales operations and cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights, ensuring the delivery of high-quality reports and dashboards that drive business growth and operational efficiency. Your expertise in Power BI and data modeling will be instrumental in supporting our mission to pioneer innovative treatments for cardiovascular diseases and set new standards of care.


Qualifications


  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience with Power BI, including semantic modeling, DAX, and M language
  • Strong proficiency in SQL; experience with Snowflake is preferred
  • Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation is a plus
  • Experience with advanced visualization tools such as Zebra BI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree is advantageous
  • Background or familiarity with life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or biotech sectors is beneficial
  • Proactive, self-directed, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate across global teams


Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs, ensuring accuracy and usability
  • Assist in creating and optimizing semantic models within Power BI to support scalable analytics solutions
  • Collaborate with US Sales Operations and cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Support data integration processes, ensuring data quality and consistency across systems
  • Stay current with emerging BI tools, features, and best practices to continually enhance reporting capabilities
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, models, and processes to facilitate ease of use and sustainability
  • Participate in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues to ensure reliable analytics outputs
  • Contribute to the development of data governance and security standards within the organization

  • Competitive salary range: US: $77,000 - $124,000; Bay Area: $89,000 - $142,600
