We are seeking a IT Business Analyst to support our Commercial organization, which includes the Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Benefit Verifications, and Sales Support teams. The primary responsibility will be to maximize efficiency by analyzing business needs and supporting the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
What You Will Achieve
The IT Business Analyst is a professional responsible for leading complex IT initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving improvements in application support and testing practices. This role plays a critical role in system validation, compliance, and user adoption. This individual must apply creative thinking, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of our IT system investments. This position reports to the Manager, IT Business Analysis. This position can be remote.
How You Will Achieve It
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Lead business analysis efforts, defining system requirements and ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT and development teams.
- Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with IT system owners and architects to recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver value to the company.
- Facilitate process mapping, testing, workflow documentation, and automation opportunities.
- Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Manage stakeholder relationships and drive improvements in application support and testing practices.
- Support project managers by reporting the status on deliverables, milestones, and risks.
- Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure smooth system implementations.
- Application Support:
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for IT application support, resolving escalated issues and optimizing system performance.
- Provide documentation on solutions to support related incidents and provide training to 1st and 2nd level support.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that business processes, system documents, and system requirements comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain documentation for requirements, test plans, test scripts, test validation, process changes, and best practices.
- Assist in audits and risk assessments related to data security and compliance.
What You Need to Achieve It
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with at least 1 year of IT BA experience working with commercial teams in the life science industry.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, including user stories, use cases, and business rules.
- Identify inefficiencies and design solutions that streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- The ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Strong ability to diagnose issues, evaluate solutions, and implement changes effectively, employing a methodical approach to troubleshooting and creative thinking for innovative solutions.

The anticipated annualized base salary for this role is $80,000 - $91,370 and reflects current market data for similarly-sized life science companies and internal equity. Organogenesis is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based increases, eligibility for our 401(k) plan with competitive company match, medical, dental, vision, education assistance, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state and federal law. Our time-off policy includes paid vacation days, paid company holidays, and paid sick time. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education, and other factors permitted by law.
