      Role Summary
 Building Operations Technician (2nd Shift) to join our Building Operations team. You will perform lab equipment installations and equipment maintenance for all Regeneron owned & managed equipment within our vivarium and R&D labs. This shift offers a 10% pay differential, full benefits and on the job training & career development.
 
 Responsibilities
 
  - Supporting critical lab equipment by troubleshooting and repairing specialty systems such as Autoclaves/ Sterilizers, Industrial tunnel and cage washers, Liquid nitrogen freezers, CO‚ÇÇ incubators, Clean steam generators, Reverse osmosis and deionized water systems
 
  - Responding to equipment and site emergencies, including 24/7 on-call support
 
  - Collaborating with outside contractors and building management on repairs and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within restricted laboratories
 
  - Monitoring and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance of R&D labs and animal care facilities
 
  - Responding to Dickson, Rees, Watchdog EX, and other BMS Environmental Monitoring Systems alarms
 
  - Installing new lab equipment and using building systems to monitor performance
 
  - Participating in AAALAC and IACUC inspections and ensuring compliance with their standards
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
  - A high school diploma and at least 4 years of relevant technical building operations experience; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
 
  - A valid driver’s license recognized by New York State
 
  - The ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
 
  - Strong experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including:
  
  - Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
 
  - Working with 3-phase motors, large pumps, and steam systems for heating water and air-handling units
 
  - Reading and interpreting electrical drawings using ANSI and IEC standards
