Role: Clinical Lab Technologist specializing in blood bank testing at Ascension St Thomas Midtown Hospital. Objectives include performing routine and complex blood bank procedures, ensuring specimen acceptability, operating and troubleshooting instrumentation, and reporting accurate, timely results to support patient care. Responsibilities encompass reagent testing, preventive maintenance, quality control, and specimen processing, within a high-volume clinical environment. Requirements: Bachelor’s in a Chemical or Biological Science, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science; 1+ year of clinical testing experience or MLS degree; competent in laboratory information systems and computer skills; ability to pass a color blindness test and work independently and in teams. Preferred: ASCP or AMT certification and ≥1 year blood bank MLS experience.
