Biotransformation Scientist

Role: Biotransformation Scientist focusing on elucidating enzymatic drug metabolism pathways in preclinical models. Primary objectives include identifying key enzymes involved in metabolizing small molecules, peptides, and oligonucleotides, and establishing in vitro-to-in vivo relationships for drug clearance and half-life prediction. Responsibilities encompass designing and executing LC-MS/MS and HRMS-based assays, characterizing drug disposition mechanisms, and collaborating with pharmacology and toxicology teams to develop cellular models and platform screening methods. Requirements: PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry with 2-5 years (postdoctoral) or MSc with 5-7 years biotransformation experience; expertise in contemporary bioanalytical techniques, enzyme kinetics, and mass spectrometry data analysis. High-value: focus on small molecule, peptide, and oligonucleotide therapeutics, employing in vitro/in vivo ADME studies, with a particular emphasis on drug clearance mechanisms and metabolite structure elucidation.
