Role Summary
The Biosimilar Regional Account Manager (BRAM) will manage and prioritize targeted customer accounts across institutional, clinic, specialty wholesale distribution, specialty pharmacy, and market access classes for the Teva biosimilars portfolio. This role includes developing and maintaining relationships with target customers, implementing product access strategies, analyzing opportunities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring contract compliance to drive pull-through sales. The BRAM will collaborate with internal teams such as Market Access, Trade, Marketing, Medical, Brand, Finance, National Accounts, and Pricing/Contract.
Responsibilities
- Executing product-specific strategy to attain national and individual goals within assigned geography
- Understand biosimilar, specialty, and generic pharmaceutical industry, contracting, distribution/wholesaler channels, pricing structures, chargeback programs, institutional sales, GPOs, and IDNs
- Understand formulary and P&T processes for clinics, IDNs, and specialty pharmacies to gain formulary access
- Enter all account/customer activity into the CRM system (Veeva) daily
- Penetrate assigned targets to build relationships and achieve objectives
- Analyze geography as a business unit and present quarterly business reviews
- Collaborate with National Account, Marketing, and Management to achieve distribution and sales objectives
- Represent Teva’s products professionally while adhering to compliance, spend, travel policies, and guidelines
- Record account information and competitive intelligence; create reports in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and Outlook
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- 5 years minimum of medical or pharmaceutical experience in Account Management, Sales, or Marketing
- 2 years minimum of demonstrated success in hospital and Integrated Delivery Network Account Management preferred
- Experience working with GPOs, wholesalers, and distributors preferred
- Demonstrated success with product launches
- Experience with buy & bill, preferably in the biosimilar market
Skills
- History of superior sales results and strong business acumen
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement and 340B
- Knowledge of patient support services
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strategic thinking and ability to understand complex strategies
- Ability to manage multiple complex priorities
- Experience in delivering and executing contracts
Travel
- Up to 75% travel is required, including some overnight travel
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
