Your Role: Bioprocessing Technician

In this position, you will be trained in the set-up, operations, and troubleshooting of equipment in the production areas. You will be responsible for documentation of work and specific computer functions, as well as safely producing vaccines that meet product specifications in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, integrating company initiatives such as LEAN.

Your Responsibilities:
- Perform duties associated with aseptic processes, weighing, measuring, counting, calculations, sampling, and verifications required for biological production processes in accordance with batch production records (BPR) and in compliance with current cGMP, safety standards, and site procedures.
- Understand, perform, and teach basic operation of production equipment; ensure equipment/instruments/materials are released and available for use; perform transactions within the electronic inventory management system.
- Oversee production processes, cleaning, environmental monitoring, and personnel; perform in-process batch quality checks per written procedures; follow all safety rules and maintain proper safety practices.
- Use basic computer skills to create/update standard operating procedures, write deviation reports, complete assigned training (procedures, equipment operation, computer operation, safety, GMP, and other as needed).
- Generate or collect ideas about workplace and processes.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years relevant experience
- Basic computer skills with Word, Excel, and Electronic Management Systems
- Ability to read, interpret, and conform to batch records, Quality, and Safety requirements
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing function and aspects of the production process; ability to apply knowledge to situations encountered

- Basic biological equipment knowledge/experience (e.g., fermentation, centrifuge, concentration units) and understanding of biological organisms

- Overtime, weekend, and holiday work may be required
