Role Summary

Bioprocess Associate at Bristol Myers Squibb. This role involves routine manufacturing assignments, adherence to GMP/SOPs, and participation in training for production equipment and process automation systems. The position is located in Devens, MA and operates on a rotating 5am-5pm shift with a 5% shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Works on routine manufacturing assignments per written procedures, with ability to recognize deviations from accepted practice
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and standard operating procedures
  • Weighs and checks raw materials; assembles, cleans and sterilizes process equipment; monitors processes
  • Completes electronic work instructions and maintains clean room environment to comply with regulatory requirements
  • Trains for proficiency in operation of primary production equipment within the assigned functional area (e.g., bioreactors, chromatography skids, media or buffer preparation equipment)
  • Trains for proficiency in process automation systems (Delta V, Syncade Interactions, OSI/Pi Historian) and some supporting systems (SAP, Trackwise, Maximo)
  • Assists with revision and creation of process documents, such as SOPs and electronic work instructions
  • Assists in maintaining material and components inventory levels
  • Supports a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; BS in science/engineering/biochemistry or related discipline desired but not required
  • Prior evidence of successful participation on work/study teams with collaboration and results
  • Proficiency in common computer tools (word processing, spreadsheets, web-based applications)
  • Attention to detail and personal accountability in work/study experience
  • Good interpersonal skills; attentive and approachable
  • Maintains professional and productive relationships with area management and co-workers
