Role: Biomedical Equipment Technician I responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, repairing, and performing planned maintenance on hospital biomedical equipment within Asheville, NC. The primary objective is to ensure equipment functionality and safety, supporting customer satisfaction through onsite service delivery. Responsibilities include basic troubleshooting, repairs, PMs, safety inspections, documentation, and effective communication with customers; may assist senior technicians and share on-call duties. Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military education, or 2+ years of relevant experience; strong electronic and electro-mechanical knowledge; ability to interpret schematics; analytical and communication skills; legal work authorization in the U.S. and willingness to work onsite with potential after-hours and on-call duties. Preferred qualifications include formal biomed/FE internship or externship participation.
