You will work with a diverse team of researchers to explore therapies for neurodegenerative targets by developing biomarker solutions to support preclinical and clinical programs, and translate biomarker assays into the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project team leads and senior scientists to develop and execute study plans and in vitro experiments.
  • Prepare and organize samples for analysis, including tissue processing and RNA/DNA/protein isolation.
  • Perform assays on samples from preclinical animal models and humans, such as qRT-PCR, immunoassays, and Western blots.
  • Utilize automation to conduct low/medium/high throughput assays.
  • Develop and execute assay validation procedures to deliver high-performance biomarker assays.
  • Process data using statistical analysis and data visualization software for presentations and reports.
  • Accurately document experimental results in an electronic notebook.
  • Perform general laboratory housekeeping tasks, including inventory management, instrument maintenance, and safety inspections.
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a flexible, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functional boundaries.
  • Exhibit strong operational skills, including prioritizing and executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
