Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive oncology and immuno-oncology discovery programs, from target identification through preclinical proof-of-concept.
- Apply expertise in cancer biology, tumor immunology, and translational science to inform target selection, indication strategy, and experimental design.
- Support discovery and preclinical development of cancer therapeutics using small-molecule inhibitors, targeted degraders, and biologics.
- Provide scientific leadership with the ability to perform hands-on laboratory work as needed.
- Manage external collaborations with CROs, academic groups, and industry partners to ensure rigor, alignment, and timely delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD (or equivalent) in cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, or related life sciences.
- Postdoctoral and industry experience in cancer biology and/or immuno-oncology.
- Track record in target identification/validation, mechanism-of-action studies, and biomarker discovery.
- Experience supporting preclinical development of oncology therapeutics.
- Familiarity with multiple modalities (small molecules, degraders such as PROTACs, and biologics).
- Ability to lead projects and contribute experimentally when required.
- Experience managing external research collaborations with CROs and academic/industry partners.
- Excellent scientific communication skills.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and/or target discovery and translation to patient.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience advancing programs from target-ID to development candidate.
- Publications and/or patents in oncology or immuno-oncology.
- Experience in a matrixed, cross-functional pharmaceutical research environment.
