Role: Associate Scientist in Biologics Process Research & Development focused on upstream/downstream bioprocessing for biologics pipeline. Objectives: develop innovative, robust manufacturing processes and technologies, support scale-up and tech transfer, and contribute to next-generation biomanufacturing innovations. Responsibilities: design and execute experiments on unit operations, collaborate across R&D and manufacturing teams, develop processes for multi-kg drug substance production, and support process characterization and validation. Qualifications: BS in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field, expected graduation by June 2027; knowledge of recombinant protein unit operations, aseptic techniques, and protein biophysical properties; strong interest in biologics process development. Preferred: experience with molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, protein purification, biochemical engineering, or analytical technologies; familiarity with statistical data analysis tools like design of experiments. High-Value: focus on biologics, early to late-stage pipeline, upstream and/or downstream process development, emphasis on innovative and sustainable manufacturing technologies, and cross-functional collaboration with analytical, formulation, and manufacturing teams. Work setup: hybrid, with 10% travel.
