Role: Research Scientist in Biologics Process R&D focused on developing innovative, robust manufacturing processes for biologics, including next-generation biomanufacturing technologies such as continuous and sustainable processes. Responsibilities: design and execute experiments for process development, characterization, scale-up, and transfer of biologics, primarily in upstream and downstream bioprocessing; collaborate cross-functionally with Discovery, Pre-clinical, Analytical, Manufacturing teams; mentor junior scientists; contribute to safety and compliance efforts. Requirements: B.S. with 4+ years, M.S. with 3+, or PhD with recent graduation in Chemical, Biochemical, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields; experience in bioprocessing (upstream or downstream), including knowledge of cell culture, recombinant protein expression, chromatography, filtration, and process optimization; proficiency with data analysis and experimental design tools; excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred: publication record, data science skills, experience with innovative technologies, protein biochemistry, genetic engineering, automation, and process characterization. High-value: focus on biologics, process development for multi-kilogram quantities, emphasis on innovation and sustainability, 10% travel.
