Biologics Process R&D Senior Scientist

Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and disruptive technologies for next-generation biologic manufacturing.
- Apply rigorous scientific principles and data analyses to create robust, cost-effective processes.
- Develop and characterize robust processes for multi-kilogram biomedicines.
- Design and conduct lab/pilot studies to support mechanistic understanding, scale-up, and transfer to manufacturing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across research and manufacturing; represent functional area in teams.
- Train and mentor junior scientists.
- Contribute to a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
Upstream experience (if applicable): recombinant protein expression, metabolic pathways, biochemistry, cell culture; bioreactor principles and mass transfer kinetics; cell/molecular biology.
Downstream experience (if applicable): protein properties/purification; unit operations (chromatography, filtration, crystallization, precipitation, adsorption, mixing).
Minimum Education:
- B.S. (4 years) or M.S. (3 years) or PhD (0+ years; or expected graduation by June 2027) in relevant engineering/science fields.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Hands-on lab and/or in silico experiments.
- Statistical design/analysis tools.
- Excellent communication; ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills:
- Peer-reviewed publications/presentations.
- Data science/modeling/ML/AI and programming.
- Novel technology/analytical tool adoption.
- Protein biochemistry/biophysics/conjugation; genetic engineering/systems biology; mammalian cell-line development; RNA/whole-genome (re)sequencing and bioinformatics.
- High-throughput automation; feed/media development; Quality by Design and control strategy development.

- Salary range: $117,000.00 - $184,200.00.
