Role Summary
Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in multiple business areas. Act as a Cloud Application Engineer in his/her area of expertise and critically evaluate relevant technological advances and integrate this knowledge into new business technology solutions. This position is located onsite in Lake County.
Responsibilities
- Directly involve in the design and operation of large-scale cloud services (AWS), including troubleshooting and performance tuning
- This position demands critical thinking skills, ability to quickly understand existing systems and the ability to work in agile environments.
- Building Cloud Native Services using REST APIs, Microservices based architectures, and containerized technologies
- Building in high-scale distributed systems and fault tolerant design
- Develop Agile and Test-driven development methodologies
- Develop the software development lifecycle, including version control (git), CICD pipelines, testing, and regional cloud deployments
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 7 years’ experience; Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience in Information Technology industry
- Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong hands-on technology experience developing applications on AWS cloud
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advanced the business.
- Experience working with Java, Python or other modern programming languages
- A passion to learn new software technologies
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills
