      Role Summary
 Automation Technician - Night Shift responsible for automated equipment performance, providing first-line support to production processes, and supporting area engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project implementation. Develop expertise in production processes, commissioning, qualification, and validation requirements and equipment-specific code and/or control system technologies. Ensure equipment is maintained in a qualified state and operate safely.
 
 Responsibilities
 
 - Assure that operational and maintenance procedures and practices reflect safety concerns.
 
 - Perform activities in accordance with cGMPs and applicable procedures.
 
 - Identify opportunities to improve quality using equipment performance data and by assuring maintenance is performed appropriately.
 
 - Effectively communicate with all levels to ensure projects and repairs are planned and coordinated with minimal disruption.
 
 - Participate in and sometimes lead the development of equipment design, procedures, engineering studies, and maintenance practices with process team, engineers, and operations personnel.
 
 - Seek opportunities to improve equipment operational effectiveness and reliability.
 
 - Provide technical support to engineering, including investigating and resolving production delays, transferring knowledge of equipment capabilities, implementing tools to improve proficiency, creating maintenance action plans, participating in periodic equipment reviews, and planning small projects for process or equipment improvements.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 - Minimum: High school diploma/GED
 
 - Minimum 2 years of Automation experience
 
 - Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship expected
 
 - Must satisfy background check and drug screening requirements
 
 
 
 Additional Preferences
 
 - Demonstrated ability to work safely in a participative environment
 
 - Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment
 
 - Experience in instrumentation, PLC and/or HMI programming
 
 - Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View SE programming experience
 
 - Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; strong technical writing skills
 
 - Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and attention to detail; adaptable to changing priorities
 
 - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service attitude
 
 - Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and supporting HSE goals
 
 - Experience with highly automated equipment; knowledge of Parenteral/Packaging equipment and manufacturing operations
 
 - Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS
