Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for manufacturing systems and automation within the project team, aligned with safety, quality, business, and user requirements.
- Create detailed project plans (schedules, resource allocation, milestones, deliverables) for automation and manufacturing systems scope.
- Lead the project automation team in designing and developing control systems for manufacturing processes and facilities, ensuring installation accuracy and compliance with safety, quality, and sustainability objectives.
- Integrate automation systems with digital applications to ensure seamless connectivity between production, quality control, and data management.
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams to select vendors whose solutions meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Ensure consistency in automation design and execution across Sanofi facilities.
- Proactively identify and manage risks to ensure GMP compliance and minimize disruptions to timelines and costs.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, automation, computer science, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field OR 10+ years of directly relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- 7+ years of experience in automation engineering.
- Proven track record managing complex manufacturing systems involving automation, robotics, and advanced technologies.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills:
- Proficiency in Process Control Systems (DeltaV), SCADA (Ignition), PLCs (Rockwell), and other automation technologies (Data Historian, BMS, MES), including system integration architecture design/implementation.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills; effective stakeholder communication; leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
- English proficiency (additional languages a plus).
