Role: Lead automation engineering for Drug Product manufacturing at Johnson & Johnson's Wilson, NC site, focusing on highly automated aseptic and formulation processes. Responsibilities: oversee automation system architecture, design, delivery, qualification, startup, and lifecycle management; lead cross-functional teams of controls engineers, system integrators, and OEMs; ensure compliance with cGMP, GAMP 5, data integrity, and cybersecurity standards; collaborate with Process Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Digital teams; manage automation suppliers, project timelines, costs, and risk; develop and implement automation strategies supporting data sharing, advanced analytics, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; 8+ years in controls automation within pharma/biopharma manufacturing; deep expertise in ISA-95, ISA-88, PLC/DCS, SCADA/HMI, vision/inspection systems, robotics, and MES integrations; proven leadership in automation projects, validation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support in cGMP settings.
