Role Summary

Automation Engineering Graduate Program, US, 2026 — two-year program designed to prepare you for future engineering, operational and technical roles within GSK’s Global Supply Chain (GSC) in automation and manufacturing disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-On Experience: work closely with manufacturing equipment, utilities, and digital systems to gain practical expertise.
  • Exposure to Advanced Technologies: focus on process automation, cybersecurity, data integration, compliance, and lifecycle management.
  • Data-Driven Insights: engage with digital technologies, AI, and data science to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Lead Automation Projects: define and implement design improvements, upgrade/install control systems, ensure compliance with international standards.
  • Focus on Innovation: lead and support automation initiatives to enhance manufacturing operations (robotics, smart manufacturing).
  • Smart Manufacturing: participate in projects leveraging AI, data, and technology to transform processes.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: understand working in a highly regulated industry and the role of automation in the supply chain.
  • Cross-Functional Rotations: rotations across Process Automation, Project Engineering, Digital Transformation, etc., to develop broad skills.
  • Global Collaboration: work with global teams on automation strategies and digital excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics Technology Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field with interest in automation, robotics, systems, software, and/or cybersecurity.
  • Language: English fluency (written and spoken).
  • Location: Zebulon, NC (US).
  • Expected start date: September 1, 2026.
