Automation Engineer IV

Role: Lead and support the operation of AbbVie's Bioresearch Center’s IT and automation systems, focusing on establishing a robust digital infrastructure aligned with future-ready Industry 4.0 initiatives. Responsibilities: manage Automation Applications, Process Control, Manufacturing Execution Systems, ensure system availability, monitor compliance, and develop strategic roadmaps for automation systems; support data visualization, integration, and training. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; at least 5 years of experience; hands-on expertise with Distributed Control Systems (e.g., Foxboro I/A, Rockwell PlantPAx), data historian systems (OSISoft PI), manufacturing execution systems (POMSnet, Werum PAS-X), and programming in VB or C#; familiarity with PLCs, HMI development, Windows Server, and industry 4.0 technologies. Preferred: experience with SCADA, FactoryTalk, advanced data visualization, and exposure to IoT and augmented reality. High-Value: biopharma manufacturing environment, automation, data analytics, Industry 4.0, validation, and regulatory compliance.
