The Position
Ensure new processes & equipment are compliant with line of business and global standards. Participate in local and global teams to ensure new equipment & processes meet URS & IFA requirements, enabling successful install, qualification, and ramp up. Improve reliability of process control systems to meet current and projected customer, business, and regulatory requirements. Serve as gatekeeper for standards.
Essential Functions
- Work with local/global project teams to ensure process design compliance with local/global standards
- Develop interface agreements and align requirements with equipment vendors
- Develop and implement plans to maintain and improve process control systems
- Schedule and execute plans in coordination with manufacturing schedules
- Assist with developing/managing expense budgets for process control systems
- Develop and maintain automation standards, specifications, and maintenance plans
- Own self-development to understand site process control systems
- Support audits/inspections as SME for process control systems
- Coach and train colleagues and stakeholders
- Use cLEAN tools for Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, and project management
- Operate with a quality mindset focused on risk management/mitigation
- Implement effective change management
- Support Corporate/PS/local IT/local stakeholder initiatives and projects
- Contribute to new SOPs, best practices, and maintenance procedures
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering/related field (required)
- 5+ years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing/utility/packaging systems (minimum required)
- May consider: 7 years engineering experience (required) or High School/GED + 9 years engineering experience
- Logistics roles only: warehouse automation equipment experience preferred (AS/RS, AGVs, AMRs, conveyor)
- Knowledge of SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian; general controls a plus; SAP EWM a plus
- Proven expertise in planning/organization and project execution (e.g., project management) (required)
- Ability to translate direction into actionable tasks using cLEAN/Six Sigma (a plus)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an open office with frequent distraction; travel up to 10%.
