Role: Service Automation Controls Engineer supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory automation systems. Objectives: troubleshoot, optimize, and support automation controls to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities: provide advanced troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, industrial networks; program and configure automation platforms like Allen-Bradley, Siemens, DeltaV; develop and support HMI/SCADA applications; diagnose control loop and instrumentation issues; review automation code and electrical designs; generate validation and technical documentation; support data acquisition and reporting; train internal teams and customers; collaborate across Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality; apply structured problem-solving and safety practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field, 3-5+ years in automation controls, with experience in bioprocessing or regulated environments preferred; strong knowledge of PLC programming, HMI/SCADA configuration, industrial controls, networking, and troubleshooting; proficiency with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, TIA Portal; familiarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP, ISO standards; excellent communication, organizational, and project support skills. High-Value: biopharma manufacturing, process automation, regulated environments, cGMP, validation, technical documentation, international travel (~25%). WorkSetup: primarily on-site with travel requirements.
