DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and coordinate the EBM team, initiatives, and projects.
- Recommend improvements using supporting data, technical knowledge, engineering principles, and industry practices.
- Manage or support EBM activities for capital projects with minimal assistance.
- Lead planning and execution of EBM automation for operational activities and capital projects as Engineering lead in cross-functional teams.
- Define project scope; prepare time/cost estimates; justify operational initiatives and capital budgets.
- Manage/control spending of approved operational and capital automation funds.
- Drive projects to completion within timeline and budget objectives.
- Create/update technical design/functional/system specifications.
- Supervise contractors and junior engineering personnel.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement in biopharmaceutical engineering knowledge and problem-solving.
- Stay current on biopharmaceutical best practices and technologies.
- Evaluate customer problems/requirements and address via system solutions/design.
- Design/implement EBM/automation changes adhering to pharmaceutical validation and change control.
- Investigate EBM automation events; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform/document hardware/software modifications and functional specification updates.
- Prepare SOPs for new and existing control equipment.
- Mentor Automation Engineers (EBM).
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelorβs in Engineering (or related field) + 8 years related experience.
- Experience: analyzing production workflows to implement MES modules for real-time monitoring;
- Implementing batch recipe management in EBM systems; planning timelines/resource allocation with PM tools;
- Coordinating cross-functional teams for deployment within scope/schedule/budget.
