Role Summary

Automation / Control Engineer at Zoetis with responsibilities in a safe, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Own: Take individual responsibility for your processes, learn, and be treated and respected as an expert. Build knowledge and collaborate with fellow highly motivated experts. As a subject-matter expert, help make decisions about equipment, scheduling and improvements that benefit the team.
  • Strategize: Plan and support capital expansion. Contribute to a site that has invested hundreds of millions of dollars over the past decade and continue to grow with the company.
  • Customer focus: Work cross-functionally with multiple teams to diagnose and correct issues as they arise.
  • Growth: Develop additional skills and adapt to new platforms and requirements. Comply with CFR21-Part 11, ISPE cGAMP and Zoetis Validation standards. Learn new technologies as the site expands to meet global needs.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Required: 2 years of experience with Process Engineering controls, PLCs, installing and maintaining computer and network systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Required: Installing, maintaining, repairing, and administrating computer systems
  • Required: Computer programming language (example VB.NET and Python)
  • Required: Basic Networking understanding
  • Preferred: Experience in Active Biological Ingredient, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, or Drug Product manufacturing

Skills

  • Technical Skills and Competencies: Familiarity with Siemens, Allen-Bradley or CLICK; willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment

Education

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Additional Requirements

  • Physical Position Requirements: Safely work in an industrial environment; ability to keyboard for extended periods; occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; may be exposed to temperature variations, PPE requirements, and variable working conditions
