Role Summary

Assurance Partner in Compliance. Responsible for second-line monitoring, risk management, and implementing a robust compliance program within the organization. Reports to an Assurance Lead and collaborates with Business Partners to ensure high levels of assurance and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the 2nd line monitoring based on the annual planning of Compliance Assurance
  • Provide support to develop and implement corrective actions based on issues resulting from monitoring and investigations
  • Implement and maintain an effective compliance program (including support for monitoring, auditing, investigations, assurance reporting, etc.) in the MCs based on the global & regional plan
  • Support driving and embedding a culture of ethics and integrity
  • Maintain professional and effective collaboration with Business Partners that guarantee a high level of assurance provided to MC and Audit Committee
  • Record and report all monitoring activities accordingly
  • Record compliance investigations and incidents (including monitoring and self-reported cases in AZEthics)
  • Manage incidents and investigations and support the Global Investigations Team on significant investigations
  • Deliver all required assurance reports on a timely basis
  • Participate in Local Compliance Committees to share findings from assurance work/2nd line monitoring

Qualifications

  • Required: Qualified professional - compliance, law, audit (internal or external), internal controls, risk advisory services, etc.
  • Required: Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills (English)
  • Required: Strong collaborative, partnering, and interpersonal skills
  • Required: Strong understanding of processes and controls
  • Required: Strong business acumen
  • Required: Strong ability to work independently
  • Required: High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion
  • Preferred: Demonstrable management skills and experience
  • Preferred: Experience in pharmaceuticals or related industries
  • Preferred: Knowledge and experience of corporate governance, healthcare regulations, laws, and standards
  • Preferred: Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills (Spanish)
