Job Summary
- Support work, care, and daily observation of animals to maintain AAALAC accreditation and ensure continued availability of guinea pigs for product-related testing.
- Non-traditional schedule requiring weekend, holiday, and as-needed overtime.
Responsibilities
- Operate autoclaves/cage washers/rack washers; manually clean caging and facilities as required (may operate a forklift as needed).
- Provide daily animal care (feeding, watering, observing), clean cages, maintain cleanliness/sanitation, and document completed tasks.
- Perform technical animal care assignments: weighing/recording weights, identification techniques, and euthanasia.
- Perform basic document review.
- Assist with training routine activities based on department needs.

- Ownership (participate in self-development: SLII, IPMP), accountability, attention to detail, adaptability.
- Communicate effectively and escalate issues through proper channels; build working relationships across departments.
Minimum Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with animals, especially in a laboratory animal environment.
Compensation/Benefits (if selected for interview)
- Estimated annual base salary: $34,000–$41,200 (varies by factors including location, skills/experience).
- Interview: speak with HR about compensation philosophy and available benefits.
