Associate Technical Engineer
What You Will Do
Provide technical engineering support on system/equipment optimization strategies, upgrades, replacements, repairs, and modifications. Evaluate process equipment maintenance and technical cleaning systems for compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory standards, and FDA standards in the Inspection and Packaging area.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tech support on engineering, regulatory, compliance, quality, microbial/environmental, technical cleaning, validation, and mechanical equipment issues
- Support regulatory agency inspections and provide technical support to the FDA and other agencies
- Perform advanced maintenance activities and/or operate and monitor plant support equipment per CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and Amgen policies
- Investigate complex issues through mentorship of experienced staff
- Maintain an up-to-date spare parts inventory system
- Evaluate and optimize maintenance procedures/programs; troubleshoot and repair equipment/system failures
- Interpret and review utility, process system/equipment, plumbing, ductwork plans, architectural drawings, and P&IDs
- Support Operations in non-standard shifts (weekends and/or holidays as determined by business)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree
OR
- Associateโs degree + 4 years Technical Engineering experience
OR
- High school diploma/GED + 6 years Technical Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics or related technical degree
- Experience repairing mechanical equipment in manufacturing (packaging equipment preferred)
- Mechanical troubleshooting proficiency
- Knowledge of PLC, Computer Serialization, Packaging Equipment, Vision Inspection (Cognex Vision System, Systech Serialization)
- Organizational, project management, problem solving, and technical writing skills
- Strong verbal/written communication and collaboration
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
